Palm Trees

 In Casa De Compai

One of the things I just love about living in the Caribbean is the endless summers. The growing season is all year round, and provided, there is ample rain fall everything stays green. I also love the fresh tropical fruits and vegetables that grown all year long. Not every fruit is available every day but, there are times of the year when they are.

I enjoy grown flowers and plants on Casa De Compai, I couldn’t imagine not having greenery on site. When I fist opened Casa De Compai I purchased two types of flowers to line the sides of the center walk way as you enter the property. It took five months for them to grown in nice and full. The rate at which things grown in The Dominican Republic amazes me. The other thing that helps the fast growth rate is the fertile soil on the island. The next thing I did was add some more plants in small planter for around the pool.

The final stage was accomplished this week when I added 5 Pygmy Date Palm trees. Three are smaller trees in round planter located in the pool area. Then I added two rectangular planters with two larger Pygmy Date Palm Trees with smaller flowering plants in the middle of the property.

It was a fun time setting up the two rectangle planters because I had plenty of help from my tenets staying at the time. We all made sure the planters were located evenly and centered.

Its doing these little projects that I love because its an instant reward.
